Robot vacuum cleaners revolutionized the way we maintain and clean our homes. Despite numerous types, Roomba has managed to create and uphold a flawless reputation when it comes to this type of product. In this article, we will discuss the Eufy 30c and the Roomba 960.

After reading the following information, you will be able to make an informed decision and buy the best model for your needs.

The Roomba is undoubtedly the most popular brand among the two. They are well known for their numerous smart robot vacuums. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Eufy is a relatively new entrant on this market.

Eufy is owned by Anker Innovation, and its parent company was established in China. Apart from great vacuums, they also manufacture numerous smart home appliances and devices.

Similarities Between Eufy 30c And Roomba 960

One main similarity between the two products is that they are both relatively affordable compared to other products on the market. The coverage is also quite similar. Eufy covers up to 1292 square feet, ideal for small to medium rooms. Roomba 960 is slightly bigger and suitable for medium and large rooms. Another significant similarity between the two products is that they are both ideal for pet owners.

Eufy, for instance, comes with Boost IQ technology, removing all hairs and fur efficiently. Roomba 960 also comes with a filter that captures 99% of dust, hair, and allergens.

Both vacuums can be used to clean corners and areas along the walls. Eufy has a small design and two side brushes, allowing it to get to all small areas easily. The Roomba 960 also has brushes that will remove all dust and debris.

Differences Between Eufy 30c And Roomba 960

The suction power is relatively lower in the case of Roomba 960, reaching a maximum of 900 Pa. Eufy has a suction power of 1,500 Pa. In tandem with this, Roomba 960 has a battery life of only 75 minutes, while Eufy comes with 100 minutes.

In terms of charge time, Roomba 960 offers a quicker performance of only 120 minutes. Eufy 30c takes up to 300 minutes, which is quite a long time, especially if it requires charging during cleaning.

On the other hand, the Eufy 30c does not resume its cleaning session after recharging, whereas the Roomba 960 continues the task from where it ended. It also uses a cleaning map that it saves before it goes to the charging station.

Customer Reviews

Eufy RoboVac 30C

Good Points

The Eufy 30c comes with numerous perks. For instance, it is highly appreciated because it is fully integrated with smart home devices, such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. It can be connected to Wi-Fi. For a small fee, voice and app control are also available. In other words, users can simply clean their homes without touching the vacuum.

Eufy 30c is only 2.85 inches, making it one of the tiniest vacuums on the market. It can be used easily to clean under low furniture, including chairs, beds, and even sofas. With its 1,500 Pa suction power, the vacuum is great for pet owners. It can clean fur, dust, and other small particles successfully. Furthermore, it can clean for up to 100 minutes at a time. Some of its free accessories are a charging station and a remote control.

Bad Points

On the other hand, its users reported several times that the app either lags or does not work correctly. If you need a vacuum to clean bigger items, the Eufy 30c might not be suitable.

iRobot Roomba 960

Good Points

The Roomba 960 comes with a light grey design of 13.8 inches in diameter. It sports a removable dustbin. The model comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, and it can be controlled using the iRobot Home app.

A great perk of the Roomba 960 is that it comes with a cleaning preference menu, which allows the user to customize the number of cleaning sessions in each room. It also comes with a vacuum map which tells you which areas it has cleaned.

The Roomba 960 is also great at cleaning different floor types, including rugs. However, it is not suitable for very thick ones. It comes with smart navigation and Dirt Detect technology that works together to clean both hard floors and carpets. Its intelligent sensors help it go under and around furniture, cleaning all areas that are difficult to access.

The methodical approach sets it apart from other models, and it can also be easily programmed to clean each room twice if needed. Regarding this, it can also be set to automatic, a mode in which the vacuum decides how many passes to make in each room, based on its size.

An amazing advantage is that, if it runs out of power during a cleaning session, it will automatically go to the recharging session. Once charged, it will resume cleaning.

Bad points

One main drawback of the Roomba 960 is that you cannot steer it using the phone app. Users also report that it does not perform great in dark conditions. For instance, if it goes under furniture and it is too dark, it cannot find its way back out. One solution to this, however, is to add the place on its virtual wall, which will make the vacuum avoid that area next time.

Which One Is The Best - Eufy 30c vs Roomba 960?

Generally, both vacuums are excellent for their price. The Eufy 30c is great if you need a vacuum which can be easily controlled from the app, and it is suitable for small to medium rooms. While it comes with more power and a tiny design, 300 minutes of charging time should be considered, especially if the house is roomy and you expect that it would require recharging. Thus, Eufy 30c is ideal for smaller homes and pet owners.

The Roomba 960 might not be as powerful, but it will charge itself and resume cleaning. It is best for medium to large houses, especially those which might need more than one round of cleaning. It can be customized through its easy-to-use phone app, but cannot be steered.

All in all, both Rufy 30c and Roomba 960 deliver robust performance. Make sure you choose the best for your cleaning needs!
